As we welcome a new year, we’ve had time to reflect on this past season and give thought to how we can continue to improve our services in 2024 in order to offer an even better touring experience for our guests. We’d like to first thank all who toured with us during 2023 and each of you who took a moment upon returning home to share your experiences on our TripAdvisor review page. Our annual review revealed our most popular tours were, not surprisingly, The Dingle and Slea Head Tour followed closely by The Famous Ring of Kerry, each based from local Killarney accommodations. By far our most popular multi-day tour was “The Luck of the Irish Tour” a wonderful, action packed, four days on tour with Killarney Guided Tours.
While Dublin Airport remains the gateway to Ireland, utilized by the vast majority of our guests, a growing number of our visitors are now using Shannon Airport as their chosen airport. The feedback we’ve received is that both arrivals and departures via Shannon are throughly enjoyable and far less stressful than Dublin with shorter lines and less walking. For those of you returning to Ireland to tour with us, we highly suggest where possible you use Shannon Airport to allow relaxed tours on the Wild Atlantic Way to get immediately underway upon arrival. Many of our guests this past year who continued to arrive via Dublin Airport found it preferable to spend their first few days in Dublin, using the easy bus service or taxis to reach their Dublin City Centre accommodations on arrival, particularly those arriving early. We’ve also seen a clear uptick on guests arriving from England (via London Heathrow or Gatwick) and Scotland (Edinburgh or Glasgow). Whether it is a single day tour or a multi-day touring adventure, Killarney Guided Tours looks forward to providing your group of six or less a one-of-a-kind experience in 2024. We’ve streamlined the booking experience for 2024 and invite you to follow these three simple steps:
Step 1 Send us an email with your requested tour details. Please include the dates of your proposed tours and accommodations if you have already decided on them.
Step 2 We will timely respond, discuss details of "Your Tour - Your Trail" and then forward an invoice via Pay Pal. A booking deposit of 20% of the total tour cost will secure your tour dates on our calendar. As always, we suggest booking as early as possible as the most desirable dates in high season book early, sometimes years in advance. As your tour does not include the cost of flights and accommodations, it is likewise suggested you secure those early as well.
Step 3 Final Payment will be due 30 days in advance of your tour. As a courtesy we make this final payment (80% of total tour cost) fully refundable in the event you find yourself unable to travel to Ireland for any reason.
